Bag pipers at Morris County St. Patricks's Day walking down South Street in Morristown.

You’re in luck — the spirit of Irish culture and heritage is scheduled to flood the streets of Morristown for the 2024 St. Patrick’s Day Parade. On March 9th, locals and visitors alike will line the streets and the Morristown Green (dressed in shades of shamrock green, of course!) to celebrate the holiday brimming with tradition.

The parade, which kicks off at noon from the historic Morristown Town Hall, promises a sparkling display of local marching bands, festive floats and proud patrons marching down South Street. The lively procession will then head to the Morristown Green, weave its way along Washington Street and conclude at Morristown High School. The event is set to take place rain or shine and is expected to last from 12 to 3 p.m.

Before the excitement commences, The Parade Committee will be hosting a mass at Assumption Church at 9:30 a.m. Additionally, a Shamrock Chalking at the intersection of South Street and James Street will begin at 11 a.m.

While the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade stands as the ultimate “pot of gold at the end of the rainbow,” there are tons of other exciting things happening before, during and after the main event. From a St. Paddy’s Day 5K and a best-dressed dog contest to Guinness-fueled celebrations and leprechaun mascots spreading joy around town, here are all the spirited events taking place on Parade Day (March 9th) in Morristown.
